In 2023, gamers had a fantastic year. The latest game, Spider-Man 2, came out, and everyone loved it.
People said lots of good things about it. A few days ago, it got great reviews and sold the most on Amazon. People now expect it to be really good. Someone even said it’s better than the best superhero game, Batman Arkham City. But, on Metacritic, Spider-Man 2 is the third-best superhero game, not the best.
Spider-Man 2 is a big success for Insomniac, with a score above 90 on Metacritic. It’s their best-rated game in a long time. But, Batman Arkham City is still number one with a 94/100 score, and Batman Arkham Asylum is second with 92/100, just one point higher than Spider-Man 2.
These games really changed the superhero game world when most people didn’t think superhero games could be that good. Until recently, no other superhero games could be as good as the Batman Arkham games.
Five years ago, Insomniac released its first Spider-Man game. It wasn’t as good as the Batman games that set the standard for superhero games, but it was better than what we had before.
Spider-Man 2 is another excellent superhero game that’s getting closer to being as good as Batman Arkham City. It’s gotten much better in how it looks, how you play it, and how it feels.
So, we’re excited for the improved version of New York in the game and look forward to having a good time playing it. On the PS5, Spider-Man 2 is way more exciting than the previous one. It’s super fast and there are almost no waiting times. You can quickly change characters and swing through New York really fast.
These changes make Spider-Man 2 almost as good as the Batman games, and maybe even better when they make the next one.
You can get it everywhere now, and Insomniac says it’s worth the $70 because it’s going to be the best superhero game.
