The Leaked Information

Important Xbox leaders like Phil Spencer, Matt Booty, and Sarah Bond shared private emails. In these emails, they discussed plans to release an upgraded version of the game. It can be released in the second quarter of Take-Two Interactive’s 2023 fiscal year.

The leak accidentally became widely known. When Microsoft shared internal documents about their upcoming Xbox games. This information has not only triggered happiness about Microsoft’s future game releases. But has also raised questions about how Rockstar Games operates internally.

There is not an official announcement yet. About Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the lack of confirmation hasn’t ended the happiness among fans. Many people have been happily waiting for an upgraded version of the game.

Since it first came out in 2018. Players are hopeful to enjoy the complex story of the game. And beautiful environments on more advanced gaming consoles.

The Possibility

Rockstar Games has recently been careful when it comes to releasing new and better versions of their games. This careful approach became clear now. Especially after people had mixed feelings about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition in 2021.

Although Rockstar put out the original Red Dead Redemption for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in August last year. It didn’t come with big improvements. Which left fans feeling bad.

By all these informations, we can only guess if a better version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will ever come out for next-gen consoles. The game has a dedicated fanbase. And the franchise is still doing well. Which suggests it might happen. However, until Rockstar Games officially tells us, we’re just making guesses based on this unexpected leak.

Keep an eye out for more news as this situation unfolds.
