PlayStation 5 new update arrives with tons of exciting Features

Elevate your gaming with Sony’s latest PS5 update, featuring clearer audio, interactive Share Screen, and customizable brightness!

Sony announced a new update for the PlayStation 5, but it’s still in testing and not available to everyone yet. The update is currently only for people in certain countries like the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany, and France.

If you live in one of these countries, you might be invited to try it out. Sony will email participants today to let them know when they can download the update. It will be available worldwide in the next few months, but some features might change based on the testing.

New Features and Enhancements

The first change involves improvements to the DualSense controller of the PlayStation 5. These enhancements include making the built-in microphone and speakers better. With the update, the controller can produce louder sounds, so you can hear game sounds and voice chat more clearly.

Also, noise cancellation has been improved using a new AI learning model. This helps reduce background noise from button presses and game audio, making voice chat cleaner. If the DualSense speaker is too loud after the update, you can adjust its volume from your console’s control center.

In the new update, there are improvements to Share Screen interactions on the PS5. Now, when watching Share Screen in fullscreen mode, viewers can use pointers and emoji reactions to interact with the host’s gameplay.

This means they can move a pointer, mark a location, draw lines, or highlight objects to help the host player. Emojis are used to visually encourage and celebrate gameplay actions. To use this feature, both the host and viewer need to have the beta installed.

Additionally, the update lets you adjust the brightness of your PS5’s power indicator. To do this, go to settings, then system, select Beep and Light, and then Brightness. From there, you can choose from dim, medium, and bright (standard). Overall, it seems like a great update with some small but helpful changes to improve the user experience.
