Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine

Wolverine was hinted at in Spider-Man 2. But we didn’t know much about how they were connected. Even though different teams are working on these games at Insomniac. Fans are excited because of the studio’s recent success.

In an interview, Bryan Intihar confirmed that both games exist in the same universe, Universe 1048 to be exact. He joked about it a little. There’s some talk about a detail in Spider-Man 2 that might give hints about Wolverine’s setting. But Intihar only said the games are in the same universe.

According to the creative director, it seems that both games happen in the same universe. But there won’t be much of them mixing at the start. When asked why Wolverine wasn’t in Spider-Man 2, Intihar said they planned it that way. He wanted to focus on making a great Spider-Man game and let the Wolverine team do their thing.

Insomniac’s Marvel Universe Expansion

Some argue that it’s a good idea to keep Insomniac’s Spider-Man and Wolverine series separate, especially at the beginning. Even if they’re in the same universe. Both characters are quite different in tone. And while people know Insomniac’s versions of Peter and Miles, their take on Logan is still a mystery.

Insomniac might also be working on other Marvel projects. There are rumors about a third game based on a Marvel Comics character. And Spider-Man 2’s story director talked about a possible Venom spin-off game.

Nothing is official yet since The Wolverine is still a year or two away, but many fans hope Insomniac will explore more comic book characters with their successful track record.
