Rockstar Games will reveal the GTA 6 trailer in December 2023. They confirmed this in a post on Rockstar Newswire. Ending rumors from November about showing the first look at the game.

Rockstar didn’t give a full game reveal. But they are very excited about sharing GTA 6. They said, “We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. The post also mentioned that Rockstar’s 25th anniversary is coming next month. So the GTA 6 trailer might come out on the same day. However, they only mentioned the vague “December 1998” as their foundation date. As the studio was announced on January 22 the following year.
The Game Awards will happen on December 7. Which is another chance for the trailer to be revealed. Rockstar hasn’t said if they will be at the awards show, but it’s a place where big developers often show new trailers and make announcements. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if GTA 6 shows up there.
Rockstar also thanked their players all over the world for their support. They said that without the players, they wouldn’t be able to make the games they love. And they are thankful to everyone for joining them on this journey.

Rumors about GTA 6 have been around since Grand Theft Auto 5 came out over ten years ago. It was talked about in a 2020 report by Kotaku about Rockstar’s efforts to improve working conditions at the studio.
In 2022, the studio confirmed that they were actively working on the game. Later that year, footage of the game that was still in development got leaked in a big security breach. The authorities eventually arrested a British teenager for their role in the incident.
People have been guessing that GTA 6 might come out between April 2024 and March 2025. This speculation started in 2023 when Take-Two Interactive, the publisher, predicted they would make a lot of money in that fiscal year. They said it would be hard to make that much money without the help of the very profitable Grand Theft Auto series.
