Some pre-order information for GTA 6 has leaked online. On November 23, a GTA fan talked with the British retailer Argos. Argos mentioned that pre-orders for GTA 6 will start on December 12.
It might be an honest mistake, a placeholder date, or Argos lacking the correct information, but the date aligns. Rockstar Games has stated that the trailer will be out in early December, and it would make sense – and be surprising – if pre-orders began right after the trailer.
The Leaks
The official Argos Twitter account mentioned, “I’ve been told that Grand Theft Auto VI for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will be up for pre-order on December 12, 2023, as confirmed by the distributors.”
It’s time to take this information with a grain of salt and come back down to reality. This could be anything, perhaps even a staff member just stirring up excitement. At this stage, it’s difficult to be certain. Rockstar Universe, a well-established website for Rockstar Games news, quickly dismissed this date after contacting the retailer’s helpline.
Retailers typically receive early information on pre-orders, especially for a game that could potentially overwhelm servers when orders open. However, for now, we’ll need to be patient and wait to see. The trailer isn’t too far away, right? We’re almost there, aren’t we?
