The latest generative AI can manage images, video, and text. The first version is launching today alongside Google’s Bard chatbot. Initially, it’s accessible only in English on Bard and will gradually expand to other Google products in the “coming months.”

Gemini Products
The initial rollout of Bard in English is now accessible in over 170 countries and territories. If you want to give it a try, visit Bard and ask if it’s using Gemini. Additionally, there’s a version of Gemini integrated into the Pixel 8 OS, providing suggested messages to users.
Later this month, developers will have access to Gemini as it becomes part of the Google Cloud API starting on December 13th. For more Gemini integrations, anticipate further updates in the “coming months,” as Google plans to make the product available on various services and products such as Search, Ads, Chrome, and Duet AI.
Gemini Ultra Release
Google is in the process of conducting extensive trust and safety checks for their upcoming powerful AI model, Ultra version. The plan is to launch it in 2024. What sets Ultra apart from the current models is its more finely tuned functionality, enhanced by the incorporation of reinforcement learning from human feedback (known as RLHF). A select group of developers and experts will have early access for feedback purposes.
In 2024, even before the launch of Ultra, Bard Advanced will be introduced. This Bard interface will bundle the latest models, including Ultra once it’s available. Meanwhile, you can easily start using the Gemini Pro model now by heading over to Bard and engaging in conversation, just like you would with any other generative AI.
