The Big Bang event, marking the start of Chapter 5, Season 1, attracted more than 12 million players simultaneously, causing the servers to crash.
Players were quite disappointed when they realized they had to bid farewell to Fortnite OG. However, Epic Games made it clear that it’s not a permanent goodbye; instead, it’s more of a “see you later.”
In a concise Twitter post, Epic Games shared that Fortnite OG is set to make a comeback in the game’s roadmap for 2024. This decision was influenced by the massive success of Fortnite OG, which surpassed Epic Games’ expectations.

Notably, there are plans for weapon customization, and exciting crossover events between Fortnite and popular franchises such as Family Guy and Metal Gear Solid are already in the works.
